Biography

Susanna Warner was born at Ipswich, Massachusetts on March 3, 1676 [1], daughter of John and Hannah (Bachelor) Warner. [2]

She married Joseph Fisk [2] [3] Joseph was born on April 14, 1672, son of Deacon William and Sarah (Kilham) Fiske. [4]

  • 1698: May 12: John Warner conveyed a farm to his son-in-law Joseph Fiske. John had purchased this property on October 5, 1683, including a dwelling house, barn and 80 acres for L220 . [2]
  • In her father John Warner's will was dated February 2, 1711, he left bequests to his daughter Susanna Fisk. [5]
  • 1723/4: February 1: Joseph Fiske, yeoman of Ipswich yeoman and his wife Susannah sold one fourth of a right in the 8th division, 5 acres in the Right, and an additional 5 acres of the great meadow to Ammi R. Wise. [4]
  • 1726/7: February 7: Joseph Fiske and his wife sold 1 1/2 acres of upland in Rowley to Mr. Perley of Boxford. [4]

Susanna died at Ipswich in July, 1742. [1] [4] [3]

After Susanna's death, Joseph married second, the widow Elizabeth Fuller on January 7, 1743. [4] [1]

Joseph died at Ipswich on May 2, 1745. [1] [4]

Joseph Fisk of Ipswich, yeoman, made his will May I, 1745, which was proved May 13, 1745.[6] [4] In it he names:

  • wife Elizabeth, while she remain a widow
  • daughter Susanna Kilborne
  • daughter Ruth Easty
  • grandson Mark Platts, his mother already received 'considerable'
  • son Mark Fisk, sole executor [6] [4]
