She married Thomas Burgess, (probably in Spotsylvania County) for he was mentioned as son-in-law in the wills of both of Mary's parents.[1][2]
She died after March 21, 1797, when she last appeared in the Personal Property Tax List for Pittsylvania County, Virginia.[3]
Research Notes
Birthplace in Essex County, Virginia, is a guess, based on father's apparent residence. There is no source for the birth date of September 11, 1715. St. George's Parish was founded in 1714, and Spotsylvania created from the western parts of Essex, King and Queen, and King William Counties coterminous with St. George's Parish in 1720.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
In the first group of vitals, Mary is b c 1715 but married in 1706? Isn't it interesting that Mary and Thomas died in the same year but not the same place? Not even the same state?
Warren-842 and Warren-125 are not ready to be merged because: more work needs to be done on this before any merge as the fathers are different. -123 has already been proposed for a merge
Warren-123 and Warren-125 are not ready to be merged because: Mary hackley and elizabeth hackley were sisters who married thomas and william warren. One of these profiles is wrong as to parentage, even if other info is correct. This would possibly account be why dna matches match both. Please leave these profiles so research can be done.
