Biography
Hannah Watkins was born in 1825 Cherokee County, Georgia to Abner Watkins & Nancy Smith. She married Bartlett Godfrey in 1848 Gilmer County, Georgia. They had about 8 children together. They normally resided in Fannin County, Georgia and lived in Canton while her family worked in the cotton mills.
Death certificate state she was buried at South View Cemetery in Burton, Georgia, but Burton was under a lake at the time of her death. She is buried in Underwood Cemetery, Cherry Log, Gilmer County, Georgia
