Sarah was born in 1742, the daughter of Mathew & Elizabeth (Unknown) Watson
She married Stephen Coleman in VA
Her will was written 17 Jun 1831 and proven 15 Feb 1836 at Pittsylvania Co., VA. She states that daughter Elizabeth McDaniel has already received the 1/9 share due her from her father's will, so she is excluded from additional inheritance from Sarah's will (Elizabeth and her husband received funds in 1829 and headed West). Sarah then divided her estate into 9 parts, naming Thompson Coleman, Daniel Coleman, Stephen Coleman; lawful heirs of Patsy Turner, grandchildren George, Robert & Stephen Townes, Lucy Price, granddaughter Judith Coleman Harrison, grandchildren Sarah Watson Coleman, Stephen & Spilsby Coleman, and great grand children Agnes Douglass & Martha Ann Douglass. Daughter Mary Ward is mentioned , but her 1/9 is left to her children Sarah Watson Coleman, Stephen & Spilsby Coleman.
