Biography

Daniel was born on the 18th July 1879 in Spittlegate, Grantham, Lincolnshire ^[1]. He was the son of Henry Watson and Sarah Johnson. He was baptised on the 24th August 1879 in Spittlegate, Grantham ^[2]. He lived with his parents in Grantham ^[3][4][5].

Daniel married Rebecca Maude Robinson on the 2nd April 1910 in Grantham. He was aged 30 years 9 months. ^[6]. Despite being married in 1910 he was still with his parents in 1911 ^[7]. Daniel and Sarah remained resident in Grantham were Daniel was employed as a Railway Engine Driver (in what is now (2023) the East Coast Mainline) ^[8][9].

Daniel died on the 15th August 1956 in Grantham. Her was aged 77 years 1 month ^[10]. At the time of his death he was still resident at the house he lived in in 1939; 48 George Street, Grantham. He was buried on the 18th August 1956 in Grantham. ^[11]. He left a will which was granted probate on the 8th October 1956 in Lincoln. He left effects worth £202 7s 4d to Violet Annie Watson, daughter and spinster. ^[12]
