Biography

Ann was born about 1852 and was usually called Annie. In the 1861 census Ann was aged 8, and the daughter of Elizabeth Watson at 36 West Milton, Glasgow Barony, Lanarkshire.^[1]

She married William Clezy on 20 April 1880 at 173 Shamrock Street, Glasgow. He was 49 and she was 26.

The 1881 census showed this family at 374 New City Road, Kelvin. Their first child, John Clezy, was born just days after the census. His birth record showed his mother's name was "Annie Watson Clezy".

The 1891 census showed William Clezy, wife Annie and their children lived at 4 Hampden Street, Kelvin.

William died in 1899 at Glasgow, age 68. Annie lived for another twenty years and died on 20 December 1919 at Glasgow, age 65. ^[2]
