Irene Adelaide Watts (married name Collins) was born on 20 April 1922 in Kew, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Adelaide Elizabeth (Avery) Watts and Horace David Watts.^[1]

She married Ronald Douglas Collins in 1947 in Victoria.^[2] They had four children.^{[citation needed]}

Irene died on 10 July 2002 in William Angliss Hospital, Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, Victoria, aged 80.
