Biography

The daughter of William Weaver and Lucy (Springer) Weaver, Lucy Weaver was born in Westpoint, Tennessee^{[citation needed]} in 1907, residing there with her family.^[1][2] She married William Francher Russ (1907-1984), the son of James Alexander Russ and Ada Permelia Caperton, marrying in Wayne County, Tennessee on September 22, 1926^[3] and having seven known children together, including:

1. Geneva Ruth (Russ) Andrews (1924-2018)
2. Dorothy Virginia Russ (1927-2008)
3. William Alfred Russ (1933-2003)

They made their home in Civil District 1 of Lawrence County, Tennessee,^[4] where her husband worked as a farm laborer in 1930, later moving to Westpoint, Tennessee^[5] and farming there. By 1950, residing on Chamblee Road in Lawrence County, they farmed on their own account.^[6]

Lucy Russ passed away at the age of 85, residing last in Westpoint, Tennessee,^[7] and is buried in the Weaver family plot at Blair Cemetery in Westpoint, Tennessee.^[8]
