Biography
Gerry, the daughter of Robert Webster and Maggie Hopkins, grew up in London, Ontario,[1] and graduated in 1922 from the University of Western Ontario. She played on the basketball team and represented her year on the executive of the literary society.[2] She married classmate Dr. Varcoe Bateson and they had a son, John Robert.[3] She died in 1952 and was buried in the Grove Cemetery, London, Ontario.[4]
