William died in 1887 in Balaclava, Victoria, aged 33 years.[2]
"WEDD.—On the 17th March, at Balaclava, after a long and painful illness, William Ebenezer, the beloved husband of Alice Ann Wedd, aged 33 years, eldest son of W. S. Wedd, of Cheltenham." [3][4]
He was buried on 20 March 1887 in the nearby St. Kilda General Cemetery. [5]
According to a law notice he was a carter, and lived in Rosamond Street, Balaclava. [6]
