Biography

Roger Welby was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Roger de Welby was the son of Richard de Welby of Multon or Moulton. In a final concord of 1376, the querents were Richard de Welby of Multon, Roger his son, Stephen de Welby, of Fossedyke, and others. ^[2] The relationship with Stephen de Welby is not known.

In 1412 the executors of Roger de Welby, of Multon (Moulton, Lincolnshire), were plaintiffs for debt in the court of Common Pleas. His executors were Margaret Welby, formerly the wife of Roger; Richard Pynchebek, of Pynchebek; Richard Welby, of Multon, son of Roger; Athelard Welby, of Multon, son of Roger; and William Gase, of East Bytham, parson.^[3]
