Biography

David was a school teacher and farmer who moved from Graton to Parma, New York, in 1836, and to Minnesota in 1872. He married Catherine Hayner in 1831; and she was the mother of his children David Lewis born in 1832, John born in 1834, Catherine E. born in 1839, Timothy Dwight born in 1841 and died young, Jacob Henry born in 1844 and killed in the Civil War, and Timothy Brigham born in 1846. After his first wife died in 1888, he married the widow Denison in Minnesota.
