Biography

Richard was born on 18 May 1774 in Wallingford, Berkshire ^[1]. He is third child of Edward Wells and Mary Prowse. He was baptised on 20 May 1775^[2] at St Mary's, Wallingford (probably St Mary le More's church). He was given his mother's maiden name as his second name.

Richard died on 2 January 1793 ^[3], aged about 18. He was buried at St Leonard's church, Wallingford ^[4] on 8 January 1793.

Richard died before his father (who died in 1811) and so is not mentioned in his will.
