June was born May 23, 1923 in Regina Sk. She attended Connaught School and Central High School, in school she excelled in sports including running, skating, baseball and took up golf at 12. An only child she had a wonderful childhood with dozens and dozens of boys and young men coming around the house as her father was bandmaster for the Boy Scouts Band and spent many hours teaching them how to play. Following high school she was employed by the Dominion Life Assurance company first in Regina, then she transfered to Waterloo ON. and then to Montreal PQ. In Montreal she met Ross and they Married in Regina in 1947. Her oldest son Scott was born in Montreal in 1948, and a year later they moved to Winnipeg, Ross' hometown. 3 more children followed, and eventually she had 9 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Junes life revolved around her family and her friends, she spent many years involved with the Winnipeg Lionells serving as president several times, and she was very involved in volunteering with Lions Manor.
