Biography

Knelske "Nellie" Werkman, also Workman, daughter of Kornelis Werkman and Jantje Lammerts Bakker, was born on 1 Sep. 1866 at Uithuizen, Groningen, Netherlands.[1][2] She appeared on the census of 22 June 1880 in the home of her parents at Polkton Township, Ottawa County, Michigan.[3]

She married Ferdinand Nintz, son of John Hintz, on 19 Oct. 1882 at Coopersville, Ottawa County, Michigan.[4]

She and Ferdinand appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at Polkton Township, Ottawa County, Michigan.[5]

Nellie died on 2 Feb. 1947 at Coopersville, Ottawa County, Michigan[2] and was buried at at Coopersville-Polkton Cemetery, Coopersville, Ottawa County, Michigan. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone and a link to that of Ferdinand.[6]
