Gottlieb Gustav was born in August 1898 in Minnesota, USA. He married Sylvannia 'Elsie' Stewart on 10 January 1922. They farmed just north of Dafoe, Saskatchewan. Gottlieb passed away in 1964 and was buried in Copeland Cemetery.
