Biography

Son of John Wert Miller and Sarah D. Harrison. He married Louisa Jane Hemby . They had 4 known children before she passed in 1860. Note that lines changed and Madison became Iron County. He married second Mary "May" Ann Watson Crownover and they may of had six known children. He passed away in about 1884.

Note by L Morrison: The Wertmiller family began using Miller while living in Madison County MO. John W Miller used the shortened surname prior to the death of his father in law Isham Harrison in 1835 where he is named in his probate. (see profile of wife Sarah D. ) John W Miller was a Justice of the Peace in 1828 and later served one term as a county Judge. Most information is listed in the newspaper article pictured.
