Stephen Wesson was born in Reading, Massachusetts Bay Colony, in 1693. His family name is commonly spelled as either Wesson or Weston.
About 1726, he removed to an area of Concord which was later named Lincoln. His family name was typically spelled 'Wesson' in this region, as shown in his family records. He and his brother Timothy were charter members of Lincoln church in 1747. Stephen was elected the first treasurer of this church in 1746.[1]
He remained in Lincoln and lived to an advanced age of 96.[2]
His gravesite monument states he died at the age of 100.[3]
