Biography

Mary, or "Polly" as she was most frequently known, was born 13 Oct 1788^[1] in Tisbury, MA.^[2]Her parentage is unknown at this time.

She is believed to have married about 1805 to Henry Manter.^[3] The couple would have nine children in their 50-plus years of marriage.^[4]

Polly passed away 23 Apr 1868 in Industry, ME.^[1][5] where the family had farmed for many years. She is buried in the Bearce Cemetery in Industry.

Research Notes

Find a Grave^[1] shows a picture of her stone and states that she is buried in West Hill Cemetery. The cemetery records show the name of the cemetery to be Bearce.^[5]
