CORBETT.—July 26, at her residence, Ramathaim, Leichhardt-street, Waverley, Elizabeth Grace, widow of the late John Corbett, and dearly loved mother of Theophilus, Benjamin, Caleb, Amos, Sydney, Lily (Mrs. F. W. Firth), Elsie (Mrs. A. Terrey), Alice (Mrs. J. M. Davis), Hilda (Mrs. C. Trist), and Rita (Mrs. G. L. Griffiths), aged 82 years.

A very old and esteemed resident of Waverley, in the person of Mrs. Elizabeth Grace Corbett, passed away at her home, "Ramathain," Leichhardt-street, on Thursday, after a short illness. A native of Sydney, Mrs. Corbett, who was a daughter of the late Mr. William West, was in her 82nd year. Her husband, the late Mr. John Corbett, who was a well-known figure in Sydney, having acted as manager of the Methodist Book Depot for over 40 years, predeceased her 19 years ago. Mrs. Corbett's father was one of the pioneer shipbuilders of the State on one of the Northern rivers. She leaves a family of five sons and five daughters-Theophllus, Benjamin, Caleb, Amos, and Sydney, and Mrs. F. W. Firth, Mrs. A. Terrey, Mrs. J. M. Davis, .Mrs. C. Trist, and Mrs. G. I. Griffiths. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at Waverley Cemetery, and was largely attended. A short service was held at Mrs. Corbett's late residence, at which the Revs. S. W. Hynes and D. Carruthers officiated. The Revs. R. B. Lewis, W. H. Howard, and B. J. McCoy also took part in the service at the graveside.
