James Weymouth was born on 3 Feb 1828 in Abbot, Piscataquis, Maine, United States, son of David Weymouth (1794 - 1871) and Hannah (Bowie) Weymouth (~1797 - 1872).

James (29) married Martha Weymouth (21) (born in Sangerville, Piscataquis on 7 Sep 1836; died in Sangerville on 7 Mar 1913) on 6 Nov 1857.^[1] Their children were:

1. William Weymouth (1859 - 1915)
2. Martha Jane (Weymouth) Dews (~1861 - ~1928)
3. Mary (Weymouth) Cripps (1864 - ).

James died on 23 Nov 1902^[2] in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine aged 72 and is buried at Old Cemetery, Abbot, Piscataquis County, Maine, USA.^[3]
