Biography

Rolland was born 8 Nov 1906 in Monte Vista, Rio Grande County, Colorado. He was the son of Lulu Busch and Clyde Wheeler. After his parents divorced he used Wheeler as his middle name and Busch as his last name. On his marriage he reported his grandparents E V Busch and Elizabeth Dove as his parents.

In 1910 he was living in Precinct 7, Rio Grande, Colorado.^[1] The household included E V Busch 47, wife Elizabeth M Busch 57, son Joseph T Busch 24, daughter Blanche Busch 20, son E E Busch 15, daughter Mrs. Lulu D Wheeler 26, and grandson Rolland Wheeler 3. E V and Elizabeth had been married 27 years. Elizabeth was the mother of 5 children, all living. E V and Joseph were house painters. Lulu had been married 5 years and was the mother of 1 child, living. Lulu was working out as a milliner.

In 1920 he was living in Rio Grande, Colorado.^[2] The household included Edward V Busch 57, wife Elizabeth M Busch 68, son Lige E Busch 24 and son Rolland W Busch 13. Lige was a painter in a shop.

Jenniece S Beverly and Rolland W Busch were married 27 Oct 1925 in Orange County, California.^[3][4] She was born 7 Oct 1907 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Will Beverly and Maud Moore. He was born 8 Nov 1906 in Monte Vista, Colorado, the son of E V Busch and Elizabeth Dove.

In 1930 he was living in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California.^[5] The household included Rowland (sic) Bush (sic) 23, wife Judy (sic) Bush 22, daughter Beverly Bush 3, daughter Jerry Bush 3, and sister-in-law Grace Beverly 16. Rolland was a painter.

In 1940 he was living in Santa Monica Judicial Township, Los Angeles, California.^[6] The household included Rolland Busch 33, wife Jennice Busch 32, daughter Beverly Busch 13, and son Jerry Busch 11. Rolland was a painting contractor working in building construction.

Janniece and Rolland were divorced between 1940 and 1949.

He died 13 Oct 1965 in Los Angeles County, California.^[7]

Research Notes

In the 1910 census he was Rolland Wheeler and took the name Busch by the 1920 census. Busch were his grandparents, reported as parents on his marriage. His parents were separated by 1910 and divorced by 1915. Some time before 1920 he began using the middle name Wheeler and last name Busch.

Lulu Dora Busch was the daughter of Edward Busch and Elizabeth Dove. She married Clyde Wheeler on 26 Mar 1905 in Franklin County, Ohio.^[8] Lulu B Wheeler married Carl H Nelson on 10 Oct 1915 in Monte Vista, Colorado.^[9] She died 16 Nov 1918^[10]

Clyde Wheeler was the son of George Wheeler and Lucinda Jane Allen. In 1910 Clyde was married, living with his mother in Ohio. By 1920 Clyde, still living with his mother, was divorced.
