Biography

Sgt. Samuel Wheeler, son of Isaac Wheeler (son of Ephraim),^[1] was born about 1675 based on his marriage to Hannah Wheeler in about 1700.^[2] Hannah was a daughter of John Wheeler.^[3] Her father was Sgt. John Wheeler of Blackrock.^[4]

Known children of Samuel and Hannah were:^[1]

2. Hannah, born 1702, baptized January 31, 1702-3; married Robert Chauncey
3. Maria, baptized July 24, 1708; married John Fairchild

Inventory of Samuel's estate was taken March 8, 1707-8^[1][4]

Samuel's widow Hannah married second Dr. John Wheeler in 1708.^[2]

The distribution of his estate was dated 25 July 1727 and recorded in Fairfield.^[5]

A distribution agreement was signed by the heirs of the estate on 7 June 1734.^[6]
