Biography

Sgt. Samuel Wheeler, son of Isaac Wheeler (son of Ephraim),[1] was born about 1675 based on his marriage to Hannah Wheeler in about 1700.[2] Hannah was a daughter of John Wheeler.[3] Her father was Sgt. John Wheeler of Blackrock.[4]

Known children of Samuel and Hannah were:[1]

  1. Samuel, born 1700; baptized April 20, 1701
  2. Hannah, born 1702, baptized January 31, 1702-3; married Robert Chauncey
  3. Maria, baptized July 24, 1708; married John Fairchild

Inventory of Samuel's estate was taken March 8, 1707-8[1][4]

Samuel's widow Hannah married second Dr. John Wheeler in 1708.[2]

The distribution of his estate was dated 25 July 1727 and recorded in Fairfield.[5]

A distribution agreement was signed by the heirs of the estate on 7 June 1734.[6]
