Biography
Zebulon Vance "Zeb" Whitaker was the son of Benjamin Harrison and Nancy Patterson Whitaker. "Zeb" Whitaker married Rose Cameron on May 13 1903 in Cherokee County, NC. They were the parents of six children, an infant daughter who lived only two days, Willa Belle, Thelma, Bennalee, Mozell and Gordon Whitaker. After the death of his wife Rose, Zeb remarried. On March 3, 1928 in Cherokee County, NC., he married Sarah Nora Ellis, Hardin. Sarah's husband had also passed away, he died at a very young age leaving her with several children to raise.
