Biography

Meredith "Med" was born on April 13, 1899 in Acme, West Virginia to David "Bud" and Penira Kirk White. He was one of the couple's nine known children.

Med grew up in Kanawha and Raleigh Counties, West Virginia. On January 4, 1920 he married Auldie Stanley in Kanawha County and settled in Raleigh County, West Virginia.

Med worked as a coal miner to support his growing family. He and Auldie eventually had eight known children.

On August 29, 1972 Med passed away from complications due to a chronic lung disease. He was 73 years old. He is buried alongside his wife Auldie in Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, West Virginia.
