Biography
Bridget Whitmore b. c. 1600 was the daughter of William Whitmore (born c. 1580 Leighton - buried 2 Jun 1646 in Neston[1]) and Margaret Beeston daughter of Sir Hugh Beeston, Knight.
From Ormerod[2]: Bridget, daughter and finally sole heiress of William Whitmore and Margaret Beeson, married to her first husband Sir Edward Somerset, Knight of the Bath, eighth son of Edward fourth earl of Somerset; and after his death married Thomas, second son of Thomas first viscount Savage, by whomshe had issue Darcie Savage of Beeston and Leighton, esq. whose daughter and heiress Bridget Savage, brought the estates of the Beestons and Whitmores in marriage to Sir Thomas Mostyn of Mostyn, baronet, from whom the present manerial lord of Beeston, sir Thomas Mostyn of Mostyn, bart. is lineally descended.
Bridget married (1) Sir Edward Somerset, Knight; (2) Thomas, born abt. 1597, second son of Viscount Thomas Savage[3]. Although Burke calls her Elizabeth.[4]
