Biography

Porter was born in 1818. He is the son of Ephraim Whitney and Sarah Noyes. Porter married Elizabeth J. Nash, intentions March 20, 1852 at Jonesboro, Maine and May 7, 1852 at Columbia, Maine. He passed away in 1891 and he is buried with his wife in Village Cemetery, Jonesboro, Maine. [1]

Nash, daughter of Jesse Lee and Susan Shaw (Nash) Nash. She was born 1827, and died 22 Jun 1874, Jonesboro, ME. Both Porter and Elizabeth are buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery in Jonesboro. Child of Porter and Elizabeth I. (Nash) Whitney:
