Nathaniel Whitney performed Patriotic Service in Massachusetts in the American Revolution.
Nathaniel Whitney was born on 12 December 1709 in York, Maine. His parents were Nathaniel Whitney and Sarah (Ford) Whitney.[1]
He married Hannah Day on 3 January 1734 in Wells, Maine.[2] They lived initially in Biddeford before moving to Gorham around 1769, settling on lots 51 and 52. They had nine children[1]:

3. Moses, born 17 Mar 1739; married 1st Susanna Crockett, 2nd Mary Page

6. Tabitha, born 16 Mar 1745; married John Watson
7. Patience, born 11 May 1748; married 1st Edward Thomes, 2nd Colman Watson
8. Hepsibah, born 29 Aug 1750; married Nathan Freeman
9. Josiah, born 1752; married 1st Hannah Barstow, 2nd Elizabeth Harding
