This photo, titled "Grandads", was in a desk I inherited from my uncle on the family farm at the time he sold it. My wife is a member of the Whitney family and had never seen a photo of her grandfather. There are three men in the photo and I knew two of them, my grandfather Peter White and a neighbour, Randall Anderson. I didn't know the third fellow. My uncle George told me it was old Norris. There was a son named after his father, Norris Whitney.
This was the first time that my wife had seen an image of him.
