John Whitney was born on December 6, 1698 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. His parents were Isaiah Whitney and Sarah Woodward. [1]

John Whitney married Rebecca Whitney, daughter of Moses Whitney and Sarah Knight. [1]

Together they had these children born in Harvard, Middlesex County, Massachusetts: [2] [1]

  2. Sarah Whitney, b. Feb. 5, 1727.
  3. Beulah Whitney, b. Jan. 23, 1730.
