Jonathan /Whitney/^[1] was born on April 14, 1681 in York, Maine. He was the son of Benjamin Whitney and Jane (Poore) Whitney. He married Susannah Fairbanks on January 14, 1700 or 1701 in Medfield, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay.
