Biography

Job Wickersham was born on June 12, 1852 in Logan County, Ohio.^[1] He was the son of Job Wickersham and Ann Ballinger. At age 8, he was in his parent's home in Bokes Creek, Logan County, Ohio.^[2]

By the time he was 18, his family had moved from Ohio to Union, White County, Indiana.^[3]

He married Eva Viola "Ola" Land (1857-1941) on December 21, 1878 in White County, Indiana.^[4] They had 10 children with 9 alive in 1900.^[5]

They lived in Union, White County, Indiana in 1880, where he was a Farmer, and Eva took care of the home and their first 2 children, George-2, and Jobe V.-11months old.^[6] By 1900, Leroy, Raymond, Clarence, Nellie, Donald, Forest, and David had been born and were in the home.^[5]

He owned and operated a livery Stable in Monticello, White County, Indiana.^[9] he disposed of it and moved to the farm by 1920.^[10]

He died on April 18, 1921, at the age of 68, in white County, Indiana, and was buried in the 100F Riverview Cemetery in Monticello, White county, Indiana.^[1]
