Charles was born 1855 , the son of John Wilcher Sarah Weekes , he married Mary Ann in 1878 and they had children.

• Mr. Charles Wilcher, 65 years of age, died at his residence, Kurri, on Thursday night, after a lengthy illness. Deceased was a native of Largs, where he resided until moving to Kurri about three years ago. He leaves a family of four daughters, two sons, and twenty grandchildren. The funeral will leave deceased's late residence at eleven o'clock this morning.

• DEATH OF MR CHARLES WILCHER
• Death of' Mr, Charles Wilcher. A well-known land highly-respected resident of the district, Mr. Charles Wilcher,passed away at Kurri.Kurri last evening .He had been ailing for many months. Death was due to pulmonary trouble, supervening upon neurltls. A native of Largs , the late Mr, Wilcher was 65 years of age , and had practically had residing the district all his life. For many years he had been engaged in farming pursuits, at Largs, but about three years ago went to reside at Kurrl Kurri. He took a lively, Interest In anything appertaining to the welfare of the district, and in all forms; of sport, and for many years was a member of the Grand United Order of Oddfellows .The late Mr. Wilcher is survived by a family of two sons , Mr Arthur. H. Wilcher of Melgrave, Windsor, and Mr. Robert. Wilcher. of Largs. and 4 daughters, Mrs. G. Harvey (Morpeth), Mrs. C.Homan. Mrs. P. Hungerford. and Mrs. H, Innes, all of Kurri Kurri. There are also twenty Great'-grandchild. The funeral will leave Kurrl Kurrl at- 11 o'clock to-morrow (Saturday) morning, and the .Interment will be made ,ln the Church of England cemetery at East Maitland.
