Abby Jane Wilcox was born in Jan. 1848[1] at Vermont, USA. She appeared on the census of 12 Oct. 1850 in the household of her parents, Joseph Ruggles Wilcox and Sarah (Andrews) Wilcox, at Manchester, Bennington County, Vermont.[2] She appeared on the census of 1 June 1865 in the household of her parents at Zumbrota, Goodhue County, Minnesota.[3]
She and William appeared on the census of 1 June 1870 at Gold Creek, Deer Lodge County, Montana Territory.[5] She and William appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 at Cloverdale, Sonoma County, California.[6] William died before 1900 and she appeared as a widow on the census of 14 June 1900 at Worthington, Nobles County, Minnesota.[1] She appeared in the home of her son, Floyd, on the census of 13 Jan. 1920 at Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota.[7] In Oct. 1908 Abby received a widows pension which continued until her death. It started at $9.00 per month.[8]
Abbie died on 10 June 1924 at Worthington, Nobles County, Minnesota at age 76.[9]
