Biography
Gladys was born in 1902. She was the daughter of Henry Wilder and Helen Miner. Oskar Smend's marriage to Gladys was his second and a record is on file with NH Public records. While it is listed in the records as having taken place in Manchester, NH, I have understood that there was a ceremony at Falcon Heights the family farm in Grasmere, NH. They had a daughter who is still living. Gladys had a long career as the school nurse in the Bedford, NH grammar school. A loving and giving person, Gladys passed on while with family in Maryland in 1989. [1]
