Rev. John Wilder, Jr., was born at Attleborough, Massachusetts, in September of 1796, a son of Rev. John Wilder, Sr., and Esther (Tyler) Wilder; he married Mary Wales Forbes Jones 1827,[1] before 1828, the birth year of their daughter Mary Eliza.[2]
Graduating from Brown University in 1823, he served as pastor at Charlton, Massachusetts, and then from 1833 at Concord.
He died of "lung fever" -- consumption -- at Charlton on the Fourth of March of 1844, aged just 47; his death record appears both at Charlton, and at Cambridge, where he was buried on the Eighth of March.
