William Williams was born about 1803 in Virginia, United States, son of Daniel Williams and Mary White.

He married Nancy Atkinson on 15 May 1826 in Green County, Kentucky.^[1]

They were the parents of at least the following:

• Raleigh W Williams
• Charles Rollin Williams

William married a second time on 13 June 1836 in Green County, Kentucky to Elizabeth McCoglin. Her father, John McCoglin, gave his written consent for the license to be issued.^[2][3]

They were the parents of at least the following children:

• Robert Daniel Williams
• Samual R Williams
• Mary C Williams

William died on 7 May 1887 and was buried in the Williams Cemetery.^[4]
