Joan Williams was born about 1734. She married Edmund Oxenham on December 12, 1755 at Bishops Nympton, Devonshire, England and in 1760 she gave birth to their daughter Mary. It is assumed she is also the mother of Roger but his baptism record only gives the name of his father. Deaths are recorded in Molland for Joan Oxenham in 1783 and 1797
