Biography
William Coit Williams was a son of Gen. Joseph Williams II (1753-1800) and Abigail (Coit) Williams (1760-1819). He was born March 25, 1781, at Stonington, Connecticut.
He married 30 Dec 1813, at Norwich, Connecticut, Nancy Breed. They had 2 children [1]:
According to the Coit genealogy, William Coit Williams drowned at sea on passage home from Lisbon, Portugal on board the Niagara in 1818 [2]. This account is recited in the Breed genealogy.
