Biography
Rachel Williams was born Jun 1827 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Silas Williams (1796-1848) and Sarah (Lappin) Williams (1799-1839).
1 Oct 1846 Rachel Williams married Daniel Bowman in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. [1]
She died in West Cairo, Allen County, Ohio in 1912. [2] From her obituary: "Mrs Rachael Bowman, 85 years old, died at her home at West Cairo, yesterday morning at 1:30 o’clock…[She] was born in Tuscarawas county and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Williams. She married Daniel Bowman and came to Allen county 53 years ago, settling a short distance north of the present Lima State hospital. They moved to Rockport at the time of the Civil war and after her husband’s death Mrs. Bowman moved to Columbus Grove and then to West Cairo." [3]
