Original profile information stated: Created through census record of 1851.[1] However, a death date of 1837 is given, so James would not have been on the 1851 census, so it is unclear what was intended.
Scotlands People has a baptismal record for a James, son of Alexr Williamson & Margt MacIntyre, born or baptised on 5 April 1814 in Alves, Nairnshire, Scotland.[2] This record has the same parental names, but a somewhat different birth/baptism location, and could have died by 1837.
There is an 1851 census record for a James, aged 14, in Forres, Morayshire, Scotland, apparently with parents Alexander, aged 64, and Margaret, aged 60, plus an older brother George, aged 20, who could have been George Brown Williamson.[3] However, this would mean that James was born around 1837, not that he died then.
All the names are probably fairly common, not all children were baptised and not all pre-1855 records survive. Further research required to clarify which family this James Williamson fits into.
