Biography

Lewis Willis was born about 1789 in Virginia, the oldest child of William Willis and Lucy Taliaferro. ^[1] He married Elizabeth 'Eliza' Madison on May 21, 1819 in Madison, Virginia. He died in 1830 in Culpeper, Virginia, at the age of 29. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Notes

John Lewis married Elizabeth "Eliza" Madison, who is noted as the niece of President James Madison. The couple died early in life leaving one daughter, Frances.^[1]
