Biography
Joseph was born in 1753. He was the son of Henry Willis and Mary Watkins. He passed away in 1848. [1]
Henry Willis of Goochland County, Virginia was born in Goochland County in 1731/1732 and died in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1810. His son Joseph Willis Sr., who was born in 1753 and died in 1848, lived in Cleveland County, North Carolina. Joseph Willis Sr.'s son Joseph Willis Jr., who was born 1789 and died in 1829, lived in Lincoln County and Cleveland County, North Carolina.
