Henry Willoughby was born on the 17th of November 1796, the second son of Sir Christopher Willoughby Bt., and his second wife, Martha Evans. [1]His father died in 1808 and the baronetcy was inherited by Henry's older brother, Christopher. His father died in 1808 and the baronetcy was inherited by Henry's older brother, Christopher. Henry was educated at Eton and was probably there when he heard of the death of Christopher at Corpus Christi, Oxford university in 1813 from a blow sustained while he was playing cricket. [1] Henry became the third Baronet. [1]
In 1831 he was returned to Parliament as member for Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight [2] and in 1832 for Newcastle-under-Lyme. [3] After a gap of more than a decade he was returned to Parliament for Evesham in 1847.[1]
Henry passed away, unmarried and childless, in March 1865. [1]
