Mary was a Friend (Quaker)

MARY JANE WILLSON, the daughter of Nathan Willson and Jane Hunt Willson, was born Oct. 1, 1846 in Welland Co., Ontario, Canada and died May 19, 1930. Married Nov. 6, 1878 to James Harmon Weed, who was born July 26, 1843 and died Dec. 1, 1889. Children: Anna Jane, Mary Edith, Ada Isabel, William Willson, George Carlton.

Following the death of James, Mary and her children returned to live with her parents, who lived on the Jesse Willson Sr. homestead in Pelham Township, Welland County, Ontario, Canada. Mary's children Anna J. and William W. Weed and his wife resided on the one-hundred-acre homestead until about 1956, when it was sold.(Willson 77)
