Anna Winship was born In Middletown, Hartford, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America to Timothy Winship and Margaret (Mirrick) Winship. Her mother died shortly after she was born. She was the seventh Child. The oldest child, Samuel was 14 years. Her father, Timothy was a wig maker in Boston. On 9 Apr 1747. her father Married Sarah Rogers. Anna had two half brothers born to this union, but both brothers and her step mother all died by 1758. Her father married a third time on 25 Aug 1755, Elizabeth Vila of Waterton, Mass. By this time Anna was 9 years of age. She Married Elisha Russell 8 Nov 1772 in Middletown, Hartford, Connecticut, British Colonial America
