Biography

Lorenz Willard Wischstadt was born on May 12, 1926 in Brighton Township, Nicollet, Minnesota, United States, son of Otto B Wischstadt (1892–1967).^[1]

Lorenz (20) and Arlene Meta (Forbrook) Wischstadt (21) were married on Sep 20, 1946. Arlene was born on Jan 20, 1925. Their children were:

• Susan (Wischstadt) Devitt
• Mark Allen Wischstadt (1954–1971)

Lorenz died on Oct 16, 2019 in New Ulm, Brown, Minnesota, aged 93.^[1]

Obituary

Lorenz Willard Wischstadt was born May 12, 1926 on the family farm in Brighton Township to Otto and Selma (Bode) Wischstadt. He married Arlene Meta Forbrook on September 20th, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran in Nicollet. Lorenz took over the family farming operation in the mid 1950’s and worked it until his retirement in 1988. Even after retirement though he continued to help out on the farm and lived there until 1995. Lorenz was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been on various boards for the church, town and school. He enjoyed visiting with people and never met a stranger; he will always be remembered for his kindness and positive outlook. Family times were very important to him or simply just being there to lend an ear and offer his genuine advice.
