  • Source: Barb Flynn and Curt Wisely, Wisely e-mail (Name: Name: Tue, 05 Oct 1999;;) NOTESource Medium: Letter ABBR Wisely e-mailTEXT Hi, Terri. I don't think this can be the same Peter that married both Mary Arney and Patsy Woodard. According to Rosina's obit. she came west with her brothers Peter and Frederick in 1826. He married Patsy in1831 (I'm typing these dates from memory so they may be off a little!)which doesn't "compute" with the dates of births of children, etc and with another marriage to Mary in 1825. Also, according to Peter WiselySr's will it says "Peter Wisely, Heirs" which means to me that his son, Peter, was deceased - that was in 1855. The Peter that married Mary/Maria Arney didn't die until 1867. We're working on findingproof by trying to contact Ping decendants since that's who Lucinda Wisely married: William Ping in Monroe Co. I have a census record if you'd like it. Please let me know. Also I wanted to mention I don't think there is an "X" for a middle initial in Peter, Sr.'s name. The "X" in the will meant he signed his name with an "X" since he couldn't write. I checked the original and that's what it shows. Please let me know your thoughts on the above.

Wisley-9 and Wisely-31 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person, same birth year & location, same death date & location. The end result of the merge Peter's surname must be Wisely.
