Menno was born in 1861.[1] He was the son of Henry Wismer and Esther Bliehm.[2] By 1880, the family had moved to Grayson County, Texas, and 19 year old Menno, listed as "Muneo" lived with them.[3]
Menno's father died in 1885 in Sherman. [4] After the 1880 census, Menno , currently, is not found in any records, so it is possible that he passed away around the same time, but almost definitely before 1892, when the remainder of his siblings and his mother purchased land in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas.[5]
