Heir house was a double log house with four rooms, two downstairs and two upstairs. Pear trees grew in the yard and the fruit was well known for the sweet flavor. The log house stood for many years. It was occupied by a grandson, Wesley Wheeler, son of Ella Etta and Millious Wheeler. At a later date, the old log house caught fire and burned to the ground.
